I have to admit it. I am a bike geek ( my arm is above my head right now with my hand in a fist like a cool revolutionary). My wife says this blog sucks because all I talk about it bikes. Well so be it I am a bike geek. Anyway as a mechanic I have those days where you look at a bike that is completely neglected and I have no idea where to start. You lift it up in the stand with a small grunt, then sit on your stool for a minute looking at it, then you get some coffee. After this you think "Hey I will wash it and maybe that will help" 9 out of 10 times it does nothing but get your feet wet the 1 time it may make it look a little better. Then there are the bugs. Spiders and all sorts of things it is like we live in the jungle. After much pondering and sitting and sipping your coffee you decide to do your job and polish the turd as well as you can and make someone else happy. There are the days where this is not a problem but they are few and far between. I sit here trying my hardest to not go fix the bike in my stand, but I have to do it so after ranting for a bit I will go do what I do best (you may finish this sentence by reffering to the line above after sipping your coffee).
