From the travels of Who-hey:

I'm currently in North Carolina. In the past 7 days I've been to Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Delaware, and the District of Columbia.

After getting to Mount Snow and pre-riding, the course was in great shape. Then it rained for 2 days and each lap of the race involved 2 miles of hiking. It almost didn't look like a race to see everyone single file walking up the race-course. I was 10th for the first 2 laps and then got tired, lost 12 spots, and finished 22nd. The guy that won did so by about 8 minutes. Sandbagging like that makes me mad. In my opinion if you ride for a team where you're getting paid a salary and are winning non-pro races by 8 minutes you should not be in the "semi-pro" category. The short-track went a little better and I managed to finish 9th.

Yes I'm wearing booties because it is muddy.

Even the pros hiked the climb.

After Mount Snow, we stopped in Wilmington to score some sweet Vermont t-shirts. I didn't find a great t-shirt but I did get a sweet picture:

The next day we went in to NYC for the day. I will never live in New York City. We commuted in with a friend from New Jersey. It rained the entire day and was miserable and cold. I'm not sure why but the rain has seemed to follow us this entire trip.

New York City... wahoo

After the city we drove to North Carolina. New York/New Jersey drivers are absolutely out of their minds. They drive up on your ass at about 90 miles per hour and then when you get over to let them by they don't pass. My theory is that they drive fast as long as someone is right in front of them so they don't get pulled over. The highlight of the road trip to day was hearing a guy with a New Jersey accent yelling at someone else: "F@#k you you f@#king f@#k". The rythm and accent the guy put into it really sounded incredible.

Next stop is Sugar Mountain. The forecast is for rain all week.
