So in Waco we have an unlimited supply of great dirt ROADS. We spend a lot of time riding on them day to day but never really connecting all of them. So the idea of a great ride, a Grand Fondo of McLennan county took shape. Well on Sunday morning a few of us took off into uncharted waters following a line randomly placed on a map. Above are a few pictures on a spectacular day that was near perfect. Single speed road bikes, good friends and a lot of awesome dirt roads. I will post more as I get them uploaded. IAN

Yes!!! Our dirt broads ARE the best! But existentially, I have a hard time connencting them all, too . . . I thought I was the only only one with that problem. Still, they're great cyclists.

Anyway, thanks for remembering to take and post pictures of the inaugural Gran Fondo McLennan. Definitely one of the ten best rides I've ever been on, seriously. Many, many thanks to Ian and Dennis! You guys are the best!

Of course, my typo was Freudian, too.

Sorry I missed GFM--looks like a great ride! Brett Swartz and I used to ride dirt roads in Waco and act like we were competing in Paris Roubaix. I always kicked his ass. Riv bikes, Brooks saddles, front bags...my, how Waco has changed. --David Heddy
